Fall 2023 Trends: Kristin Cabatingan
The temperatures have dropped and the hems have lengthened—it’s officially fall! Kristin Cabatingan has entered her autumn era and brought the fits along with it. Break out your wooly sweaters, mom jeans, and trench coats. This fall season, the fashion girlies are bringing out the effortlessly chic vibes just in time for the leaves to change color. Statement pieces have made their way back into the equation, thanks to New York Fashion Week, and I’m not mad about it.
Ties and Chokers
Kristin Cabatingan created an elegant vibe styling a men’s tie as a choker. Carelessly wrapping the garment around her neck, allowing the longer ends to fall, Cabatingan has united work and play into one outfit. Paired with a black blazer (that can be easily removed for a night out on the town, by the way), and black-wash jeans, this look screams elegant street style. The formal tie perfect juxtaposes the casual jeans, making this look pleasing to the eye. Oh, and who could forget the classic Chanel black bag—it just elevates the vibe.
Classic ’90s Style
Rocking the same blazer, Cabatingan brought back ’90s style with this outfit. Mini skirts are back in style as per Miu Miu’s SS24 Paris Fashion Week show, but pairing such a flirty piece with a sophisticated turtleneck ups its class. Tall black boots are an order, but note the length: they’re not over the knee! You heard me right, goodbye knee-high boots— you’re so 2016.
Neutral It Girl
Neutral colors are the It Girl of Fall 2023. A long, silky maxi skirt coupled with a dainty cardigan is the perfect transitional outfit for the days that feel in-between seasons. Ballet flats are present in this look, and I’m thrilled that they’re making a comeback this fall. Simplistic outfits with traditional basics can be mixed and matched, which gives you an excuse to shop this fall!
