SKIMS Takes Over Basketball

Kim Kardashian is pop culture’s newest marketing genius. SKIMS has a chokehold on Gen-Z at the moment, as the brand constantly collaborates with the age groups’ favorite musicians and actors. Names like Cardi B, Madelaine Petsch, and SZA have posed for Kim’s brand. This time, she expands her intimate line and is beginning to target male audiences. Her method? Enlisting top male athletes for her latest campaign. Nick Bosa, Shai Gilegous-Alexander, and Neymar Junior are the faces of her new products.

With those three athletes alone, she has caught the attention of football, basketball, and soccer fans by contracting some of the best athletes from each sport. Considering the majority of men watch one or more of the sports those athletes represent, the brand definitely reached the right audience. To some men, it’s just the underwear brand their partners like to wear. Now, they have the chance to enjoy the quality they constantly hear about all over their partners’ social media.

To further solidify her commitment to target men, she recently announced that SKIMS will be the official underwear partner of the NBA, WBNA, and USA Basketball. From repeated exposure to the brand’s future commercials and advertisements, men will be more inclined to buy Kim’s underwear. It’s no surprise that she has the access and resources to make great advertisements and use successful marketing tactics, which eventually led to her brand’s huge success.

While we don’t know what other famous men Kim will collaborate with in the future of SKIMS, we know that it will be a success every single time. Even though her little sister Kylie Jenner is about to launch her affordable clothing line, Khy, SKIMS still is the KarJenner’s most popular and most loved business venture. It seems that Kim Kardashian’s interest in makeup has passed as she now focuses solely on her underwear brand.
