Tcherassi’s collection takes an “entirely new concept permeated with casual and effortless elements.” Using an artistic collage of prints, shapes, and materials, the designer blends various elements such as “textures and unexpected colors,”
Specifically to the Mélange collection, the company experimented “with silk-paneled knits while featuring prints inspired by Milanese men’s silk ties from the eighties, masculine belts, and feminine tasseled ribbons, that further insinuate a play on the collection’s duality.”
The brand has been known for its use of “harmonious design” for 30 years. This continues with the theme for this Fall-Winter 2021 collection, “unlikely partnerships or combinations often result in extraordinary things.”
One of the classic pieces of the collection is inspired by pop art. The print was inspired by floral appliqués, fringes, and embroideries. “Autumnal classics, herringbone, and velvet give the assortment a seasonal feel, while loose-fitting silhouettes accentuated with masculine belts or feminine tasseled ribbons further insinuate a play on the collection’s duality.”
