TO MARK THEIR 60TH ANNIVERSARY, DR. MARTENS DOUBLE THE YELLOW STITCHING IN A ONE-OFF COLLECTION OF SHOES AND BOOTS
The Double Stitch pack is part of our Heritage Distortion collection — a commemorative range which amplifies core Docs markings that date back to the start.
Since the first 1460 boot rolled off the production line 60 years ago, the distinctive markings on our footwear haven’t changed. But over time, our yellow welt stitch and heel loop have become a symbol of self-expression and nonconformist attitude.
To celebrate our 60th anniversary, we’ve created a new collection that pays tribute to our core DNA — by cranking it up to the max. The 1460 boot and 1461 shoe are both kitted out with not one, but two yellow stitches through the welt, and built from Smooth Slice, a raw-edged leather with yellow backing.
The 1460 boot is tagged by two of our signature yellow scripted heel loops. And both the shoe and boot are welted on a smoke DMS sole, the same way they have been for six decades.
