NADINE MERABI Makes European Runway Debut in Paris

On October 2, NADINE MERABI marked a defining moment in its evolution with the British brand’s first European runway show in Paris. More than a geographic first, the debut signaled an increasingly global vision for the independently built label and an expansion of the glamorous wardrobe that has become its signature.

Presented across 30 looks, the collection was conceived beyond the boundaries of a single season, climate or occasion. Instead, founder and Creative Director Nadine Merabi considered how the modern MERABI woman moves through her life, from city to city, celebration to celebration and from one chapter to the next.

That approach resulted in a wardrobe balancing glamour with utility and structure with movement. Sculpted silhouettes, intricate hand-finished details and distinctive fabrications remained central to the brand’s visual language, while sharply cut mini dresses, fluid gowns and precision tailoring demonstrated its continued command of occasion dressing.

But Paris also introduced a broader proposition.

Outerwear and leather emerged with greater prominence, extending the NADINE MERABI universe beyond the party dresses and statement pieces for which the brand has become widely recognized. The shift suggests a label increasingly interested in dressing its customer for the moments surrounding the celebration, not simply the celebration itself.

For Merabi, choosing Paris for the milestone was both strategic and deeply personal. The French capital has provided the setting for several of the brand’s campaigns and is home to an established European community of customers.

“Paris is a city that understands the emotion of dressing up: the craft, confidence and theatre of it,” Merabi said. “It has been part of our visual story for years, so bringing our first European catwalk here feels deeply personal and completely right.”

The Paris runway also puts the scale of NADINE MERABI’s growth into perspective.

Before entering fashion, Merabi was an England hockey player with no formal design training. She taught herself to sew through online tutorials using a £250 sewing machine while working in Manchester’s events industry. What began with creating pieces for herself eventually developed into the launch of NADINE MERABI in Manchester in 2015.

Within six months, Selfridges placed the brand’s first major wholesale order.

More than a decade later, NADINE MERABI operates from its Manchester headquarters, maintains a London flagship and has expanded its European infrastructure with an EU warehouse that opened in April 2025. Its community now stretches across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.

The Paris presentation therefore represented more than another runway on the fashion calendar. It offered a glimpse at what NADINE MERABI intends to become: a more complete global fashion house without abandoning the confidence, craftsmanship and unabashed glamour that built its following.

For a brand whose story began with a self-taught designer and a £250 sewing machine, its first European catwalk represents considerable distance traveled. Yet Merabi sees Paris less as a culmination than a beginning.

“Paris is not the finish line,” she said. “It is the opening scene of our next chapter. We are only just getting started.”
