Kylie Jenner Stars In Jean Paul Gaultier Campaign

Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashians, is cultivating her own relationship with designer Jean Paul Gaultier. The House of Gaultier has long since nurtured a relationship with the famous family. Kim Kardashian is a front row regular at JPG runway shows and the oldest, Kourtney, is also routinely photographed wearing vintage Gaultier.

The campaign follows Haider Ackermann, Gaultier’s spring guest couturier, dressing Jenner for the 2023 Met Gala and the after-party. The “Flowers” campaign launches the Jean Paul Gaultier Spring / Summer 2023 campaign. Dressed in a blush pink corset with a shiny lilac wig, Jenner transforms into an aquatic nymph. It is, according to creative director Florence Tétier, her take on virtual reality and artificial intelligence. For her, Kylie Jenner is the perfect muse for the upcoming conference.

Kylie Jenner x JPG: The Collection

“For this collection, working with Kylie Jenner was an obvious choice,” said Tetier in a press release. “[She is] a powerful being capable of adapting to their environment.”

The campaign and consequently, the collection uses floral & tropical prints and gradient stripes to create a colorful and whimsical aesthetic. The collection also pulls inspiration from archival Gaultier collections including “Louise Brooks Chez Easy Rider”. Skin tight trompe l’oeil two pieces and brick colored stripes follow long sleeved tulle dresses. For those looking to show more skin, bandeau mesh tops and laced up sweaters serve as a great option.

Structured, slightly conservative looks composed of top-stitched low rise jeans and denim corsets end the collection. Also, casual wearers can choose from a number of hooded sets with lace-up details.

Though the collection moves from varying aesthetics and auras, the transitions are seamless in part because of recurring details. Lace details, wide legged pants and mesh fabrics occur throughout. These details create a collection that is at once a tribute to the past, while also looking to the future via technology.

Here are some of the best looks from the collection:
