Fresh Step Styles Adoptable Cats In Couture
Cat litter brand Fresh Step is partnering with Best Friends Animal Society for its ‘Adoption Gala.’ The campaign, which styles adoptable cats in AI-generated looks, also arrives in conjunction with the nation’s largest annual fashion event, The Met Gala.
Kitty Couture
Two of the looks so far are worn by felines from Best Friends’ New York City Lifesaving Center – Elijah, a five-year-old cat fond of “head scratches and movie nights” and Louie, a nine-year-old domestic shorthair and ultimate cuddler. Elijah wears a white lace gown and veil that gives chic and sophisticated. Meanwhile, Louie stunts in a jewel-emblazoned garment with gold detailing. Yeah, they ate.
With more looks to debut throughout the week, Fresh Step also encourages cat owners to submit photos of their own fur babies to potentially receive the AI styling treatment. Those eager to see their cats in couture should post their photos on Instagram using the hashtag #freshstepfashion for consideration.
In partnership with Best Friends Animal Society, Fresh Step will be offering its line of litter to new cat parents. The brand will also be providing a donation of 400,000 pounds of litter to Best Friends’ ‘lifesaving centers’ nationwide.
The brand’s Marketing Director, Eric Jamison, states, “If ever there was a pet suited for couture, it would be a cat.” He’s definitely right.
Adoptable cats from the Lifesaving Center in NYC are available here.
About Best Friends Animal Society
In 1984, a passionate group of animal lovers found Best Friends Animal Society with the goal of combating the euthanization of animals in shelters across the nation. The gang developed an animal sanctuary in Southern Utah that would eventually become the largest in the world. Today, the group continues to further its mission of eliminating all kill shelters. One way of achieving this is through its “No-Kill 2025” movement, which sponsors community programs, advocacy, and support.
