Fabrics Of Fall 24
As the cold sets in, layering with different fabrics becomes a necessity. Jackets become essential and, on top of comfort, warmth is a crucial factor in daily outfits. Specifically, the last month or so of fall shows the end of autumn fashion trends. In addition, winter fashion arrives and so do heavy materials like wool.
There is a little over a month left in fall. As November closes, so do the autumn trends consumers started. Yet, there are a few fabrics that still stand out. A few of these materials create elegant jackets, boots, skirts, and more.
Fringe For All
Fringe creates movement. Specifically, it moves and flows with the consumer. As a second skin, the fabric glides through the breeze, making any outfit extraordinary. Often, this material is found on jackets and boots. Though often found in warm tones, grays and blues are not uncommon.
Anthropologie offers fringe pieces that are perfect for the holiday season. In addition, thrift stores and vintage shops offer antique pieces with vintage fringe.
Smooth Suede
Also, suede appeared in the fall trends. It has a slightly rougher surface, yet it is still smooth and classic. As with fringe, it has a muted shine about it. The fabric fits well with any seasonal outfit. In addition, this material is perfect for a vintage look. Suede offers a type of elegance that other flashy fabrics cannot provide. It is subtle and perfect as a coat, skirt, or pant. Also, the simplicity of the material makes it appear polished.
Nordstrom offers designer and brand name suede pieces. The bags, jackets, and blazers are excellent for both businesswear and the end of fall.
Chic Leather
Arguably, leather is a perfect material all-year long. However, it shines during the months of early winter. Fleece-lined leather coats appear and so do leather gloves. Ethically sourcing the leather can be difficult, but brands like Parker Clay work against unethical practices. Leather comes in many colors, and in the late fall, cherry red and dark brown are prominent. Additionally, these muted colors match the autumn foliage.
The fabrics of Fall 2024 are staples. They will continue into next year, proving that simplicity and elegance are must-haves. Ultimately, winter trends will use new fabrics and these chic materials will arrive next autumn.
