EPPERSON pulls inspiration from the past and allows people wearing his clothes to “be who they want to be”. Ranging in looks from “a homeless and tattered urban princess to the skirted gentleman, secure in himself and his place in the world,” his collections let people be unapologetically themselves.
Showing for the first time at NYFW, winning the prestigious Fashion Group International Rising Star Award for Womenswear in late December was quite the kickoff.
Inspired by a sense of reflection and protection, EPPERSON’S Fall Winter 2021 collection is all the dark, without the drab. Bringing up trends that have been seen the last few seasons like sustainability, gender fluidity, layering, and seasonal neutrality, the rather futuristic collection was a hit. Pops of color, plaid, and denim as well as rough finishes come full circle for his up-cycled line.
