Dr. Martens has connected with X-girl for a second collaboration for SS21, who have put their punk-rock spin on two towering Dr. Martens silhouettes – the Jadon Max and the platform Strap Sandal! Both collaborative models will be available on drmartens.com and at select retailers starting Saturday, June 12th.
Pulling inspiration from X-girl’s founders – Sonic Youth bassist and singer Kim Gordon, and X-LARGE alum Daisy Von Furth – the Dr. Martens x X-girl SS21 collaboration reflects X-girl’s pioneering role in the “Girl’s Movement” that took over the fashion industry, with a focus on creating “real clothing” that allowed girls to dress on their own terms. Staying true to this disruptive philosophy, X-girl’s SS21 collaboration with Dr. Martens features two distinct silhouettes – a Jadon Max boot with a black canvas upper and leopard-print canvas lining, and a Strap Sandal with a black velvet upper, purple footbed, and Dr. Martens’ tallest sole yet: the Zebrilus Quad Max.
