About Chocheng
CHOCHENG is a womenswear designer label launched by Cho Cho Cheng. Cheng studied fashion and costume design at the Parsons School of Design and later took an apprenticeship in Savile Row, London to study traditional British tailoring. CHOCHENG pays close attention to detail and uses only materials that are 100% natural and cruelty-free. All fabrics are sustainable and produced in Europe. All garments are hand-sewn in London following traditional Savile Row tailoring techniques. For both environmental and aesthetic reasons, CHOCHENG forbids the use of commercial iron-on interfacing and machine finishing.
About the Collection
For his Fall/Winter 2021 collection, Cheng transports us to the cheerful and inspirational tale of Mulan as choreographed in a 1980s Utopian style. A Peking Opera dripped in glamour and humor. A vibrant potpourri of fantasy, Disney and Fellini.

Models are laden in neutral and primary-colored designs influenced by silhouettes of the 1960s with a modern twist. Cheng’s training in tailoring is evident in the collection is evident, as it incorporates structured dresses and suit jackets.

The Mulan influence takes a front seat in the accessories as Cheng chooses to showcase faux raffia hats, raffia bags, traditional headpieces, statement jewelry and draped blush of various colors on his models.
