Helmut Newton’s exploration of film noir, expressionist cinema, S&M, and surrealism provided the foundation for Mohapatra’s reinterpretation, which focuses on themes of beauty, equality, and empowerment.

In a departure from traditional fashion narratives, Mohapatra seeks to empower women through his designs, offering a fresh perspective that challenges stereotypes and celebrates individuality. By casting women as the “Alpha muse” in his collection, Mohapatra aims to reclaim agency and redefine power on their own terms, echoing Newton’s provocative imagery while promoting a message of self-expression and empowerment.
