2022 Billboard Women In Music Awards Red Carpet

This Wednesday, America’s favorite celebrities kicked off Women’s History month with iconic looks on the 2022 Billboard Women In Music Awards red carpet. Many of the red carpet looks highlighted the gender-fluid, architectural, monochromatic bold trends of the season. Artists were spotted in everything from suits to bold gowns. Below are our top four fashion moments from Wednesday’s event.

1. Doja Cat

All hail Doja! Doja Cat had by far my favorite look of the night. It was playful and glam; it was avant-garde. The all-black ensemble was ballerina-Esque and Hollywood glamour-inspired. Doja wore a sculptural plunging v-neckline gown with a tulle skirt and tailored pants. Additionally, the dress was adopted from Carolina Herrera’s recently debuted Fall 2022 RTW collection.

2. Agnez Mo

Agnez Mo also sported an edgy all-black monochromatic look. Agnez wore a black structured shoulder leather blazer from Anouki paired with a black turtle neck, a Lidia May black harness with a silver buckle, and leather pants from Milk White’s vegan leather brand. Her Eytys boots reflect the intricate heel trend with their unusual/architectural shape.

3. Sofia Carson

Sophia Carson was of the many artists to wear a suit at the awards; however, she wore it the best! Sophia wore the Alexander McQueen Resort 2022 ruffled pantsuit in a Napoleonic-inspired look, with a contrasting white ruffled top and  Jimmy Choo ‘Teja’ embellished pumps. Consequently, the ruffles added femininity and drama to her all-black look.

4. Sabrina Claudio

Sabrina Claudio gave us a flash from the past with her 1990’s inspired look. From the Kamilla Purshie gown to the hair and red lip, this look screamed Selena, if I do say so myself. The look was simple, sexy, and bold!

While our top looks lacked vibrant colors, the design and styling choices made up for their neutral colors.
