Tame Impala Performs Famous hit ‘Borderline’ on Fallon

With waves of synth-pop and blissful energy filling the room, the Australia native and his group truly set the vibe. They performed their most popular song from the “The Slow Rush” album, released back on Valentine’s Day. 

Formally a psychedelic rock band, their sound has slightly changed. Their music now features disco, synthesizers, drum machines and much less guitar.

And to make it more interesting, Parker usually performs “Borderline” differently each time. Is he unsatisfied with the way it sounds? Or is he simply showing off his expertise in mixing music?

During a live performance, we typically see wicked outfits and striking visuals. Tame Impala keeps it simple and sweet, performing in a newspaper print shirt backed by red, beaming lights. Their focus is merely the music being played. 

Artists are slowly getting back into the groove of live performances. Kevin Parker never lost his touch in the first place.
