Will Smith Released ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Reunion Trailer
Everyone has been waiting for the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion since the moment Will Smith announced there will be a reunion. It has been 24 years since the final episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air aired. The special is unscripted and was shot in the Banks storied Los Angeles mansion. The trailer has been released and the reunion special premieres Nov.19 on HBO max.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is one of the best black sitcoms ever to hit television. The show ran for 148 episodes over six seasons. It is a legacy show for giving people jokes to laugh about and giving the greatest advice on television coming from a sitcom. In September the show turned 30 and this reunion special is a gift to us to celebrate 30 years of an amazing show. Not only are we getting a reunion special for the show, but there is a reboot of the show on its way picked up by NBC Peacock.
Will Smith posted the trailer Friday on his Instagram, which got more people excited about it. We can finally see what is expected to be the reunion special. In the trailer, there was laughter and good remembrance of the show. The trailer shows the cast members who made this show possible. It included Will Smith, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Tatyana Ali, Alfonso Ribeiro, Daphine Maxwell Reid, and DJ Jazzy.

We all have expectations of what we want to see in the reunion special. One of the things that are expected to be shown in the reunion special is the James Avery tribute. James Avery played the tough guy Philip Banks known as “Uncle Phil”. Avery passed away in 2013, and this reunion special will show how much he meant to the show. This reunion will also show the conversation we all have been waiting for with Janet Hubert. Hubert used to play the original Aunt Vivian. According to Teen Vogue Hubert was fired from the show. “Though the reported reason for firing Hubert was she was “difficult to work with,” the actress never forgave Smith and the show executives for replacing her on Fresh Prince. She took many opportunities to publicly slam the show and even swore to never to take part in a Fresh Prince reunion”. Having the original Aunt Vivian speak about what happened is going to be interesting.
This special reunion will remind us of all the good laughs we had watching Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and how much the show meant to each castmate.
