Johnnie Walker & Aurora James Team Up!

As part of the next phase of the ‘First Strides’ initiative aimed towards gender parity in leadership positions, Johnnie Walker has partnered with creative director Aurora James, a passionate trailblazer for equal rights, to help support She Should Run’s mission of increasing the number of women who are considering to run for public office.

As people engage in political conversations with the general election approaching, it’s prime time to call attention to the substantial gender gap in public leadership and political ambition. To encourage people to vote and demonstrate how everyone has a responsibility in helping bold women imagine themselves on the ballot in future elections to be in control of the decisions made about women, Johnnie Walker and Aurora have collaborated on a social video scripted and produced by ongoing brand partnerLilly Singh.

The video debuted earlier this week on the opening night of the 15th Annual Bushwick Film Festival, a 2020 Johnnie Walker & IFundWomen ‘First Women’ Grant Recipient.

Furthering the conversation,Aurora and Johnnie Walker co-created a limited edition sweatshirt and sweatsuit for those to sport their support of women running for office. The merch is available to purchase now through the end of November on the Brother Vellies website with proceeds going to She Should Run, helping their goal to inspire 250,000 women to take their first strides toward public leadership by 2030.
