Blue Ivy Carter is the Narrator for ‘Hair Love’ Audiobook

Blue Ivy Carter is adding the narrator to her achievements. Writer and director Matt A. Cherry posted on Twitter and Instagram that the older daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z is the narrator to his children’s book, Hair Love. 

Cherry’s post included the audible link and a short clip of Blue’s voice, in which she introduces herself and the book, with the photo of the cover. Hearing Blue Ivy’s voice is the cutest thing. She is making us proud. 

Cherry is the author of Hair Love as well as co-writer and director of the short film based on the book. The short animation film won the Oscar for Best Animation this year. Hair Love, tells a touching story about a Black father who learns how to do his daughter’s hair. The story influences every little black girl to love their hair. Ever since the short film was released last year it has gotten good reviews. Hair love is an inspirational story and it’s wonderful news to hear Blue Ivy is narrating the book.

Blue Ivy has been doing her thing for an 8-year-old according to Variety, “The 8-year-old Carter already has numerous accolades under her belt. She won the BET Her Award in 2020 for the song “Brown Skin Girl,” making her the youngest recipient of a BET Award”.

Blue Ivy is a star on her own. Seeing her as the narrator for an animation that represents black girls is important. It shows any black girl can do anything.
