GQ’s Man of the Year
GQ, an international monthly men’s magazine, has recently dropped all three of its covers for Man of the Year 2023. First on that list is actor Jacob Elordi. Starting on the streaming platform Netflix, he starred in a coming-of-age movie named The Kissing Booth with Joey King. After 2 more sequels, Elordi moved on the HBO to become Nate Jacobs in the viral show Euphoria. Recently, however, Jacob Elordi starred in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, in which he played Elvis. His acting in the two seasons of Euphoria has endeared him to fans, and similar praise is being showered upon his new movie.
The second Man of the Year is an entrepreneur and lawyer, Kim Kardashian. Wearing suits reminiscent of her late father, Robert Kardashian, Kim takes on the role of the executive in this photo shoot. Starting on her family’s reality TV show, Kim transformed into a business mogul and lawyer, advocating for the overlooked cases of the needy. Kim’s brands, such as KKW Beauty and Skims, have further cemented her ascent into superstar entrepreneur status. Her shape wear brand in particular has seen a lot of success, as many of her products go viral for their quality and the brand’s ad campaigns. Recently, she introduced a men’s line of underwear and used popular athletes to promote it.
The third Man of the Year cover goes to rapper Travis Scott. Popular for his experimental production within his music, Scott has recently dropped his long-awaited album titled UTOPIA. This release had high expectations since the predecessor, Astroworld, was an international success. Now on tour again for his new album, Scott brings fans together to enjoy his music. Also, his brand, Cactus Jack, has become more exclusive than ever in the “hype beast” community. Collaborating with fast-food chain McDonald’s and having a second baby with Kylie Jenner, Scott always finds ways to make headlines and promote his music.
