It looks like one of the most beloved pop princesses did not find her happily ever after. Singer Britney Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, are reportedly getting a divorce. The two were married for fourteen months, following seven years of dating. Spears has been through a lot these past couple of years, with the fight against her conservatorship, and it looked like Asghari was someone to lean on during this time. However, this marriage is at its end, and it may not be an easy one.

Asghari filed for divorce on Wednesday. Many news outlets picked up that it was happening before the official filing. The filing comes a week after TMZ reported that the couple had an explosive argument where Asghari accused Spears of cheating. Spears vehemently denies any cheating rumors, and sources say this divorce has put a lot of stress and sadness on Spears. A close source told Entertainment Tonight that “Their issues tend to get worse when they are away from each other and spending time apart. Britney tends to feel that she isn’t being prioritized by Sam at times. Their arguments have led them to become unhappy at times in their relationship.”

There appears to be a lot of drama in the divorce when it comes to the prenup. As expected, due to Britney Spears’ massive wealth, the couple signed an iron-clad prenup before they got married. However, the agreements in that prenup may change. According to Page Six, Asghari is reportedly trying to renegotiate the prenup in his favor. Page Six also reported that Asghari is blackmailing Spears for a prenup renegotiation, and he may reveal some embarrassing information about Spears if she does not agree with him. However, sources say Spears and her legal team are not worried about this possible plan, as she has a lot of protection and a high-profile legal team.

Asghari is an actor who has made guest appearances in many television shows and music videos, including Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” music video.
