KIEHLS ‘STEP INTO SUMMER’
Good skin care is essential to graceful aging. Babies have smooth, soft skin that is wrinkle free and moist. Over time harsh elements in the environment wear on our skin making it not so youthful and pretty. Good skin care can slow down the harmful effects of time and the environment. These was some of the points covered at the KIEHLS ‘STEP INTO SUMMER workshop and presentation.
Before good skin care can be attempted, it is important to have an understanding of how skin and facial products work. Good skin care especially for people of color and men (YES, I SAID MEN) requires a good cleanser and dope moisturizer. I personal like facial serums due to the fact they are needed to restore water to the skin and protect the skin. Good skin care requires a lot of effort products and money. A regime of good facial care and moisturizing should be an everyday occurrence (to be effective).
As I mention above, men should understand the importance of good grooming and skin care; host\ main speaker Daniel Calderon talked about as well gave personal feedback.
Some information, I took from Daniel Calderon was:
- Exfoliate as often as possible.
- Get facials.
- Address the specific needs of your skin type.
- Many men substitute body lotions for actual moisturizer. These products usually contain harsh irritants that aren’t suitable for the face. It is more ideal to invest in a moisturizer specifically created for your face.
PERSONAL REACTION:
Here are some products, I personally use and like xoxoxo. From fighting acne as a teen to being in my early 30’s ( but in my head, I will always be 21 ) I find it hard to win the good-skin game. I had to, in my late twenties to make an effort to make sure my skincare routine and lifestyle habits was reasonable and beneficial.
