Bibhu Mohapatra Fall/Winter 2023 Collection
Bibhu Mohapatra presented his Fall/Winter 2023 collection during New York Fashion Week. A series with a rich history, artistic influence, and a powerful message about inclusivity. 37 of the most signature and ultra-feminine looks walk down one of the most prestigious runways in the world. Audiences, industry stalwarts, and buyers alike cheered for the collection.

In attendance were loyal clients, fashion directors from major retailers, and editors from major publications worldwide. For instance, June Ambrose, Prabal Gurung, Steven Kolb of the CFDA, Fern Mallis, Waris Ahluwalia, Young Paris, Diala Makki and Pritika Swarup. Following the inspiration behind this powerful collection is Nancy Cunard.

Also, textiles can be found all over the world for this presentation. For example, custom guipure laces, Japanese cady, lush corduroy, silk faille, metallic tweed, and plant-based leather. The color palette of a rich restrain includes burgundy, stone, chartreuse, ivory, and ice blue. Each complement the architectural yet fluid silhouettes.
Subsequently, seen were incredible custom embroidery designs inspired by art-deco motifs. The artisans of India help create the designs with hand embroidery. As a nod to Bibhu Mohapatra’s love for artisanship, the collection included styles of cashmere scarves and shawls from Janavi India. A 25-year-old global luxury label from India and Mohapatra’s styling partner for this show.
Some of the partnerships include UNITE hair by Diego Miranda and makeup by Jenny Smith.
Guests were enjoying a special sensory experience of Davana Cedre and a beautiful scent by their fragrance partner, LilaNur Parfums.
