Zacari Releases New Single “Lonewolf Still”

Today, rising R&B artist Zacari is set to release his highly anticipated new single and video, “Lonewolf Still,” via Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). Following the success of his earlier release “Ocean” this year, Zacari delves even deeper into his journey with “Lonewolf Still.” Produced by Oogie Mane, Kimchi from Working on Dying, Zacari, and Benny Bock, the track is a raw and emotive exploration of solitude and self-discovery, drawing from Zacari’s own experiences of isolation and emotional turbulence.

The accompanying video, directed by Spencer Sease, is set amidst the haunting solitude of the woods, following Zacari through a cave and an abandoned house – truly embodying the “lone wolf” spirit. The scenes of Zacari shackled powerfully symbolize his sense of isolation and inner struggle; the nostalgic VHS aesthetic of the video adds a gritty, raw texture that complements the introspective nature of the song, making the visual experience as emotionally compelling as the music itself.

Reflecting on the creative process, Zacari shared, “…Talking to myself in the middle of a storm. This song comes from a place of loneliness. There were a lot of emotions I had to work out on the mic in order to remember who I was.”

Zacari, who gained widespread recognition with his contributions to Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. and his own breakout singles “Don’t Trip” and “Young & Invincible,” continues to push the boundaries of R&B with his innovative sound and authentic storytelling. With “Lonewolf Still,” he once again demonstrates his unique ability to blend genre influences and create music that is both contemporary and timeless.

2024 is shaping up to be a monumental year for Zacari. This summer, he will join SiR on the highly anticipated Bad Karma tour, kicking off on July 23rd in Silver Spring, MD, at The Fillmore Silver Spring. The tour will take them across major cities, offering fans a chance to experience Zacari’s powerful live performances. Highlights include stops at the iconic House of Blues in Chicago, The Tabernacle in Atlanta, and The Fillmore in Philadelphia. The tour will culminate in a grand finale at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on August 15th.
