Debbii Dawson asks “Where Have All The Good Men Gone?”
On Friday, June 26th, indie pop singer-songwriter Debbii Dawson released her newest EP ‘Where Have All The Good Men Gone?’. The EP follows two previously released teaser tracks:‘Kool Aid’ (June 5) and ‘Where Have All The Good Men Gone?’ (May 8).
Debbii Dawson whimsical dance-pop energy transcends genres. Fans fell in love with her sound after performing a slowed down rendition of Abba’s “Dancing Queen’ on America’s Got Talent in2022. And ever since, many of her tracks have mirrored the disco group’s approach.
But stylistically, many compare her to the likes of Dolly Parton and Sabrina Carpenter. Her 80’s indie-pop influences continue to shine in this EP. The title track, ‘Where Have All The Good Men Gone?’ resembles the classic 80’s disco Abba-influenced sound. This, of course, is no coincidence. These six songs are dark, eerie and mysterious all while keeping that upbeat, pop-centric disco flair fans have come to love.
From ‘AGT’ to Stardome
After turning heads on AGT four years ago, Dawson signed with RCA Records in 2024. It’s safe to say she hasn’t looked back. The now 30 year old Hutchinson, MN native has released two prior EP’s: ‘Learning’ (2023) and ‘How to Be Human’ (2024). And she’s just getting started.
The American singer-songwriter took to instagram to announce the exciting news, “My third EP is out in the world!! I didn’t start the year knowing I would be making this project but I’m so glad I did. I hope you enjoy these songs and I’m very excited for what’s next!!” Dawson’s emphatic instagram caption captured the men and women working tirelessly to propel her music career to new heights. She went on to thank each and every producer, writer, musician and instrumentalist who helped create the new EP.
