Twisted Teens Show us ‘Florida Water Blues’
On Friday, July 10th, Twisted Teens released their third studio album titled ‘Florida Water Blues’. The up and coming rock ‘n’ roll group is looking to put their name on the map. However, as we know, new music from unknown artists is released every day, and most of the time it goes unnoticed. In fact, thousands are of artists get lost in the fray, struggling to find their own identity. But sometimes, it just clicks. Sometimes you have IT. To truly stand out, you must let your uniqueness shine.
Well, if you’re looking for a unique sound with an impeccable work ethic, look no further than garage-punk band Twisted Teens. It’s not enough to participate or conform to societal norms. Instead, you must lean into your own perspective and create something new. Especially in the music industry. Their own twist on rock ‘n’ roll has allowed them to gain ground in the music industry and kickstart their career.
2026: A Massive Year for Twisted Teens
The 13 track 42 minute long release, ‘Florida Water Blues’, marks the groups’ third album and second release this year. It comes after their 12 song hit album ‘Blame The Clown’, released February 13th. The New Orleans based group doesn’t hide from expression. This album is the kind of record that smacks you in the face upon first listen. It’s loud, full of emotion and filled with meaningful lyrics.
Most tracks begin with a delicate touch, luring you in to trap you inside of a scruffy, swampy, and rock filled experience like no other. And once you’re trapped, you won’t be able to get enough. Their music feels messy and gritty in the best way possible. Its the perfect blend of raw, emotional garage-centric rock with a professional tinge to it. the listener is opened to a a realm of new possibility. Standouts include ‘Why Did You Miss It?”, ‘Hand Me A Cigarette’ and ‘Guided Thunder’.
They levitate between the realms of punk rock, rockin’ roll and country music. Whether it’s punk inflected country music or country inflected punk music is yet to be determined. Whatever it is, it’s more than addicting. And through all of this, the best part is nothing feels forced. Band members Caspian Hollywell on lead vocals and Razor Ramon “RJ” Santos on pedal steel don’t want to pick a lane. That’s part of who they are, part of their identity.
Like what you hear? Well, you’re in luck. Twisted Teens are currently on tour across the US & Canada. With upcoming shows in Cambridge, MA on July 23rd, Garwood, NJ on July 24th and Philadelphia, PA on July 25th, there’s still time to see the gritty group do what they do best!
