Truman Sinclair is One to Watch
A creative mind with endless ambition, Truman Sinclair is one to watch. The Chicago born LA based singer songwriter is starting to turn heads. And for good reason. With a unique indie folk sound that is combined with indie rock emo elements, Sinclair creates an experience like no other. And that’s what listening to his music feels like, a surefire fulfilling experience.
His Americana musical approach leans towards a Bob Dylan, 90’s centric vibe. His storytelling ability is akin to the greats. Sinclair works to be nostalgic and reflective rather than glossy; there’s nothing flashy about him. It’s almost effortless. Working quietly and confidently, his passion shines through in his lyrics. The indie rock/folk crossover creates an almost nurturing environment sponsored by a warm, calming presence.
His most recent single, ‘4th of July’ was released a day prior to America’s 250th Birthday. The song is part longing, part loving and part devotion to a partner who doesn’t feel the same way. There’s a force pushing against Sinclair and it’s his job to battle through. He describes it as a warm summer night filled with desperation and loyalty held together by grace. He uses classic Americana imagery to illustrate the difficult situation he’s tasked with.
