Tre Loaded Needs “Another Whip”
Rising rapidly in Bluff City, Tre Loaded has what it takes to be a star. The 21-year-old rapper shares, “Another Whip,” an energetic new single. “Another Whip” finds Tre effortlessly flexing and putting his opps in their place over bouncy yet assertive production anchored by insistent 808s. Bringing his signature southern drawl to the instrumental, which slowly fades out to find Tre rapping acapella, Tre delivers line after line of quotable bars: “Trappin from AM to PM / And I got thick shi*t all up in my DM / Feel like Chief Keef I don’t f*ck with my BM.” In the video, directed by Samuel Finley, Tre posts up in an icy blue Bentley with his girl, flexing his stacks of cash as they chill at a scenic overlook.
“Another Whip” continues a line of street-savvy bangers, following Tre’s street hit “Push Start,” released earlier this year. These singles, part of his upcoming Loaded mixtape, are the next steps on the young rapper’s ladder to success. Tre grew up in East Memphis surrounded by music, taking trips to the studio to listen to rappers like his uncle Don Trip. Tre started rhyming at age fifteen, inspired by his Memphis forebears and lyrical street rappers like Rod Wave and Ralo to turn the booth into his diary and turn rapping into his career. In early 2023, Tre first shared “Vo Flow,” a minimalist banger populated mostly by snapping fingers, low-note guitars, and Tre’s percussive voice, which eventually gained traction on social platforms like TikTok. The song generated over 2 million streams on Spotify and over 1.5 million combined views on YouTube. Tre Loaded recently spoke about his early life and burgeoning rap career on DGB’s Off The Porch.
