Rolling Loud Miami Day 2
Rolling Loud Miami, one of hip-hop’s biggest stages, returned for its second day at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, July 22nd. As the most anticipated hip-hop festival of the summer, and one of the most anticipated festivals overall, Rolling Loud Miami is an action-packed celebration of the genre celebrating its 50th year. Saturday’s slate of performers included those who are already well-known and those who are up-and-coming.
Travis Scott headlined Day 2, and he did not disappoint. Inspired by his upcoming album UTOPIA, he brought a brand new stage design for his performance accompanied by pyrotechnics. Scott brought his old hits, including “STARGAZING” and “BUTTERFLY EFFECT,” and previewed his new songs, including “GOD’S COUNTRY” and “LOST FOREVER.” He also played his new song “K-POP” featuring The Weeknd and Bad Bunny, which was released the day before. Closing out his last performance of the Astroworld setlist, Scott previewed his upcoming film, Circus Maximus, set to release on July 28th alongside UTOPIA.
Scott was not the only one who brought the energy to Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday. 21 Savage, who is currently on tour with Drake, delivered an active performance, bringing out special guests G-Herbo and Young Nudy. Trippie Redd and Ski Mask The Slump God, who are Rolling Loud regulars, also delivered while honoring their late friends XXXTentacion and Juice WRLD. Hometown heroes City Girls brought their hot girl summer energy in the Miami heat along with hitmaker Coi Leray and Grammy-nominated GloRilla. Up-and-comers continued their rise throughout the night, including Florida native Luh Tyler, BabyTron, and Skilla Baby. In a first for Rolling Loud, Dominican Dembow superstar El Alfa performed on the main stage, boosting the bass levels with his songs “La Mamá de la Mamá” and “Gogo Dance.”
The festival continues for a final day on Sunday, July 23rd. A$AP Rocky is the headline act but will be preceded by performers including Lil Uzi Vert, Bryson Tiller, Turnstile, and many others.
