The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its official 2026 inductees.

Phil Collins, Sade, Billy Idol, Queen Latifah, Oasis, and Joy Division/New Order will be the newest inductees into the famous institution. First-time nominees Wu-Tang Clan and the late R&B artist Luther Vandross has also made their appearances.

Collins, who is in the hall as a member of his former band Genesis (known for hits such as Invisible Touch, Abacab and That’s All), has released numerous hits throughout his solo career, such as In the Air Tonight, One More Night. His notable 1985 work, No Jacket Required, won the GRAMMY for album of the year.

Soul-jazz vocalist Sade, known for her soothing hits such as Smooth Operator and Kiss of Life, joins Collins.

Perhaps the biggest addition to the hall is the heavy metal band Iron Maiden, having two nominations prior. Iron Maiden helped usher in the new wave of British heavy metal in the 1980s. They have iconic albums, such as The Number of the Beast & Piece of Mind (featuring their hit The Trooper).

However, there were a couple of nominees who missed out on this year’s induction. Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, INXS, Jeff Buckley, Pink, New Edition, and Shakira are just a few of the nominees.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame documents the history of rock music and the artists, producers, and other personnel involved with the genre’s development since its establisment in 1983. They later started to induct artists three years after it’s developement.

In order for an artist to be eligible for the Hall of Fame, they must release their first commercial recording 25 years prior to their nomination. More than 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals must also vote for them.

The induction will be held on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
