Rich Amiri Kicks Games in New Single, “Punt”
Manifesting his sky-high ambition for stardom with a versatile vocal range and a suave appeal beyond his years, Rich Amiri has more than enough talent to back up his shining confidence. Asserting his heartthrob status, the Boston native returns to kick off his city boy summer with “Punt.” Anchored by a celestial synth-like instrumental by Devstacks and JayXXL, the track continues Rich’s recent streak of diverse beat selection, allowing him to demonstrate the full potential of his vocal instrument. On “Punt,” Rich takes full advantage of that creative mindset, adopting a flow that juxtaposes his full-bodied baritone voice with equally smooth high-pitched melodies. Exhibiting his range like a peacock proudly displaying its feathers, Rich channels that same confidence throughout the track: “Baby, I ain’t no cheater/Step so hard my feet hurt/She don’t want him, she feeling me.”
Punt” arrives as Rich Amiri’s first new single since sharing his 12-track project, [http://]EVOLUTION, entirely produced by Internet Money and released on the day of his signing to Internet Money Records. Home to the recent singles “Poppin” ft. Lil Tecca and “Salty,” EVOLUTION is the latest step in Amiri’s rise from SoundCloud to nascent stardom. In 2021, he released his hit “Never Fail,” which recently surpassed 3 million streams on SoundCloud, which sparked a series of underground hits. Last year, the rapper shared his debut EP For The Better, which featured guest spots from SSGKobe, Summrs, and others.
