No Love For The Middle Child Has A “Guardian Angel”

Songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist No Love For The Middle Child, known offstage as Andrew Migliore, releases his new single “Guardian Angel” today via Cantora Records, accompanied by an official video directed by Sam Cahill. The production on the single is amazing & honestly gets you in your feelings.

The song actually begins with the original voice memo Andrew recorded on his phone, just him humming over guitar chords with no lyrics, no tempo, no plan. Instead of scrapping it once the song took shape, he built the finished track around that recording, so listeners hear the idea evolve in real time as the production unfolds. It is a direct glimpse into Andrew’s songwriting process and another chapter in his forthcoming EP.

The lyrics were written from the window seat of an airplane while Andrew was in the middle of touring with mgk, and that feeling of being in motion somehow lives throughout the record. The result is an intimate slow-burn that preserves the earliest spark of the song while allowing it to unfold into its finished form.

The video for “Guardian Angel,” directed by Sam Cahill, was created with that same sense of movement. Shot over the course of several weeks while Andrew was on mgk’s Lost Americana Tour with Wiz Khalifa, the video came together wherever there was time and space: in the woods next to a rainy Detroit venue, in a New Jersey green room, in Kansas City, and in the hours between soundchecks and shows. The shoot was eventually completed in Los Angeles with one final shot featuring Andrew performing with the wing scars.

Rather than capturing a single moment, the video documents a stretch of life in motion, pieced together across the places, performances, and in-between moments that surrounded the tour.

Guardian Angel” arrives as No Love For The Middle Child steps further into his own artist era. Over the past year, Andrew has performed onstage with mgk throughout the Lost Americana Tour, including dates alongside Wiz Khalifa. He was also recently announced as a special guest on Beauty School Dropout’s upcoming The Circus F/W 2026 U.S. Tour, and in 2027, No Love will join alt-pop duo MISSIO as the opening act for the January leg of their “Love & Heartbreak” Tour.

Andrew also recently released a live performance of Mr. Brightside,” filmed backstage and on the road during the Lost Americana Tour, offering a glimpse into the immediacy and energy of his live performances and the new era of his solo work.

A Philadelphia native now based in Los Angeles, No Love For The Middle Child has built a career across songwriting, production, and performance. A classically trained cellist turned producer, songwriter, and performer, his music moves between alternative, electronic, and indie pop while remaining rooted in emotional honesty.

His production and songwriting credits include work on mgk’s Lost AmericanaHonestav and mgk’s “Crash First,” Tom Morello’s “One Last Dance” from Venom: The Last Dance, and songs with Jelly Roll, Jessie Reyez, Maggie Lindemann, and Juice WRLD. He also contributed to K-pop group TXT’s chart-topping hit “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You).”

No Love’s creative, boundary-pushing production style can also be heard in Honestav and mgk’s “Crash First,” where the track follows a similar progression to “Guardian Angel,” moving from a softer opening into a more upbeat pop-punk energy.

Guardian Angel” follows previously released tracks “Broken Wings,” “Monochrome,” and “Ash On The Floor,” all of which will appear on the forthcoming EP.

With “Guardian Angel,” the different sides of No Love For The Middle Child come together: the songwriter alone with a guitar, the producer willing to follow an unfinished idea wherever it leads, and the performer stepping further out from behind the artists he has helped elevate.
