Tuesday, Masego shared the official video for “Mystery Lady (Sego’s Remix).” Brazilian director Doug Bernardt, who was awarded the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Entertainment for Music for the short film Bluesman, helmed the clip. Masego met up with the director in Mexico City for the shoot. Bursting with brilliant colors, the video is infused with a deep appreciation for the sensuality and rhythms of everyday life. Masego sings as he explores the streets, alleys and courtyards, encountering dance partners along the way and reveling in the city’s natural beauty.

Combined global streams of “Mystery Lady” have soared past the 100 million mark. Sego’s remix and the original version of the song – “Mystery Lady Ft. Don Toliver” – appear on Studying Abroad: Extended Stay (EQT Recordings/Capitol Records), the deluxe edition of Masego’s acclaimed 2020 EP. Watch Masego and Don Toliver performing “Mystery Lady” on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” below.

Lady Lady, Masego’s 2018 debut album, put him on the map. “Tadow,” the lead single, has surpassed one billion combined global streams. The song is certified Platinum in the U.S., Diamond in Brazil and Gold in Mexico. Hailed as a “musical polyglot” by the Los Angeles Times, Masego is a singular talent and surprising presence – a saxophone player, a singer, a rapper, a comedian, a DJ. NPR Music praised him as “musical shapeshifter, the creator of a blueprint for a new kind of sound.
