Maryze Has A New Visual For Upcoming Single “Too Late”

Canadian singer Maryze will be broadcasting her brand new single called, “Too Late,” along with a video, on March 19. This will be the artist’s first new release of the 2021 year to follow up the success to her last single, “Squelettes” featuring Backxwash. Maryze shows off her bilingual skills in the track and even shows off some skills through her social media. She went viral on Tik Tok and gained more than 35,000 followers on her accounts. Her newly acquired fanbase will be in for an amazing treat with the upcoming music Maryze has in store.

“Too Late” is a four minute long track that showcases Maryze’s vocal skills alongside this 80s uptempo pop track. The song has a ballad-like feel to it, but its upbeat drums make the single more cheerful and danceable. In addition to the song, its video was actually shot by Maryze and edited by Alli Deleo who is the lead singer of duo, Doohickey Cubicle.

When speaking about her inspiration behind the track, Maryze says “I wrote this song when I was feeling both frustrated about wasting time, and also completely unable to motivate myself in the pandemic. I was kicking myself while I was down, which obviously isn’t helpful to get back up. For some reason, even if the lyrics are pretty depressing, the song came out upbeat and dancey. I immediately heard it with an 80s beat – the era of sad dancefloor hits.”

Maryze has much more music to come for the year and with her debut album dropping in the fall of this year, “Too Late” is just the start. She has gained a whole new fanbase and will definitely be making her way to topping charts in no time. To keep up with Maryze and remain updated on all her new music, you can follow her on Instagram, Tik Tok and Spotify.
