Leon Thomas And Victoria Monét Join On Soulful “Breaking Point” Remix

Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer Leon Thomas has released a remix of his hit song, “Breaking Point,” with Victoria Monét. It comes seven months after he released his solo version in December of last year. As a multi-hyphenate talent in the entertainment industry, Thomas has released solo music and collaborated with a handful of artists throughout his career, which began as a young child on Broadway. Over the last ten years, he has earned producing and writing credits for artists such as Ariana Grande, Drake, Post Malone, Ella Mai, and SZA. Thomas also won a Grammy for his work on the joint album of Babyface and Toni Braxton, Love, Marriage & Divorce, in 2014.

The remix for “Breaking Point” serves as a refresh to the song that has become a favorite among fans and in the media. A long-time friend of Thomas, Victoria Monét, joins to share her own perspective to the soulful serenade as she prepares to release her album, Jaguar II. Both artists combine their exquisite elements as R&B artists to sing about the turning point of a relationship, realizing the fragility and breakability of love.

Speaking about the lyrics of the song to Rated R&B, Thomas has said, “There’s so many different aspects of this song lyrically that kind of play into the ‘why’ behind the production style that I used for it. I needed people to really feel what my heart was going through in this tug-of-war moment.”

The new single released via EZMNY Records/Motown Records is the fifth official release from Thomas’ highly-anticipated debut album titled Electric Dusk. The album, set to come out next month, will feature tracks including “Love Jones” featuring EZMNY Records Executive Ty Dolla $ign, “X-Rated” featuring Benny The Butcher, and “Crash & Burn.”

Thomas is set to continue his solo artistry by opening for Ty Dolla $ign on his “More Motion Less Emotion Tour” starting on September 15th in San Diego, CA and ending on October 27th in San Francisco, CA.
