Written and produced by LAILA!, “Miss Mango” further showcases her multifaceted artistry first introduced on her critically acclaimed, fully self-written and self-produced 2024 debut album, Gap Year!.
Equal parts playful, confident and empowering, “Miss Mango” is a breezy anthem for anyone who has ever lost themselves chasing someone else’s validation before rediscovering their own worth.

“‘Miss Mango’ tells the tale of a girl who loses herself for love. She centers her life around a guy who couldn’t care less about her, constantly seeking his attention and validation. The message goes out to all the Miss Mangoes out there. Fuck that dude. You’re so much more beautiful, colorful and rich inside than you realize.“

Adding another talent to this multihyphenated creative force, the visual for “Miss Mango” was creative directed by LAILA! and directed by Moldyroom. Filmed on the island of St. Thomas, a place that has served as a source of creative inspiration for LAILA!, the rich, warm, vibrant and cinematic visual perfectly complements the record’s empowering message through colorful island scenery and sun-soaked imagery, offering an early glimpse into the creative world surrounding LAILA!’s next chapter.
