Labrinth Releases New Album Ends & Begins

Singer, songwriter, and rapper Labrinth released his latest album Ends & Begins, and its eclectic opening is a clear indication of what is a must-listen album. With its release coming a few weeks after his well-received performance at Coachella, the album encapsulates the same energy most of his songs already emit. The tracks come as a mixture of hypnotic, wildly vibrant beats intermingled with scores of intense vocals. With so much to deliver after his rise with the acclaimed HBO series, Euphoria, Labrinth has delivered an album delved in emotion.

Labrinth is no new artist when it comes to creating eccentric music. Known for his indulgence in the creatively experimentative and imaginative melodies, he’s embraced going against the musical norm. Many of his early works play on these experimentations, discussing his internal conflicts with modern music, decisiveness with mental health, and championing archaic sounds in music. While his rise to attention started way before his welcoming to Euphoria, the series essentially became his assertion into fame. Labrinth conceived both scores for the popular series, and his work has appealed to crowds of all kinds. Songs such as  “All For Us” and “Forever” embrace that poignant eccentricism, taking what was once experimentation and turning it into wildly accepted music.

Ends & Begins – The Review

End & Begins introduces a new world for the acclaimed artist. The album kicks off with a hypnotic collaboration between Labrinth and global phenomena Zendaya. The song features a build up of vocals and mesmerizing melodies. It meshes both artists’ voices well enough together that it becomes almost entirely captivating. The album follows a theme just as much of Labrinth’s work has done before. The singer has once again experimented with his music, blending keyboard instrumentals and unorthodox sounds together. The album is enticing, mesmeric, and overall a work of art. Labrinth has come back bigger and better than ever.
