Kodak Black and Lil Yachty Create “Hit Bout It”

Kodak Black was just released from prison in January of this year and is already making some music moves. The recently freed rapper got together with Georgia born rapper, Lil Yachty, to create a music video for their newest collaboration called “Hit Bout It.” The video first premiered on BET Jams and BET hip hop and was made available later on YouTube on February 19th. From the response received from both artists’ massive fan-base, it seems as if this single will be the first of many joint projects from the two.

The new single “Hit Bout It” is about living this famous music industry lifestyle. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes not so much. Lil Yachty continues to step out of the box by demonstrating how versatile of a rapper he can be and this song is a perfect example of him showcasing these skills. He shows off this new flow right and the beginning of the song and maintains that momentum and intensity throughout. With the addition of Kodak Black on the hook and his short but hard hitting verse, it really takes the song to another level.

Though the video is currently unavailable via YouTube, it was still able to gain more than 6.6 million views. The video for the song just shows the pair having a good time with their friends. The video even features a cameo from rappers Gucci Mane and Trick Daddy.

This single is a great way for Kodak to get his name back into the public after his release and it also shows how talented of an artist Lil Yachty is. Ultimately, it was a great move on each of their parts and hopefully we will see more collaborations from the two in the near future.

To listen to “Hit Bout It,” the track is available for streaming via Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and Amazon Music.
