Justice Share Debut Performance At Coachella
The world-famous electronic duo, Justice, debuted their breathtaking new live show this past Friday at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
It was their first significant performance in six years and served as the launchpad for their upcoming global Justice: Live tour! At Coachella, they showcased their career-spanning set that heavily drew from their upcoming new album, “Hyperdrama”. The duo performed in front of a constantly changing latticework of lights and mirrors.
The album opener, “Neverender,” is among the several previously unheard songs that were performed. Since not all of their fans were able to watch the festival’s live stream, the duo has uploaded a video of their first performance of “One Night/All Night..” The single became a radio and streaming mainstay as excitement for Hyperdrama intensifies. The show is only the beginning of the band’s extensive international tour dates. It is their first significant live appearances since the tour’s completion in 2018 (which also resulted in the release of the live album Woman World Wide, which won them a Grammy for Best Electronic Album in 2019). Similar to the record, there has been intense excitement surrounding the duo’s live return, with two sold-out gigs in New York City and Paris’s massive Accor Arena. Justice, a French electronic music duo, incorporates rock inspiration into their artistry. The duo consist of Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Auge. In 2007, the band gained critical acclaim for their debut album, “Cross,” . Later that year, they received a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Electronic/Dance Album.” In a span of sixteen years, the duo has received positive reviews for their music and live performances.
