Hailey Knox Releases New Single “Waiting On You”

New York-based singer-songwriter Hailey Knox, has rediscovered her sound in the music world. In the past, Knox has been called a “music sensation by People Magazine with a “preternaturally soulful voice” (Billboard). The talented artist continuously creates a symphony of sounds with her voice, guitar, and looping pedal. Her newest single “Waiting On You” was released on September 30th.
Hailey Knox and Her Music Style
Hailey Knox is known for her Alternative, Hip-Hop, and R&B style of music. Early in her career, she opened for artists such as Charlie Puth, AJR, and Ruth B. Since then, she has headlined her tour, “The Hardwired Tour.” During this US tour, she visited 14 cities including New York, Boston, Chicago, and Nashville.
Her music style has come from her ability to express emotion through the guitar. As she self-produces a large number of her tracks, she does so while discovering herself. So far this year Hailey Knox has released three singles while also featuring on a track with Russ. The track, “Remember (Remix)” started as an open-verse challenge that Knox won. Following the release, she received an even larger following.
“Waiting On You” Single
Her newest single, “Waiting On You” has an R&B and Soul sound. Knox wrote this song about her feelings after going through a rough patch in her relationship. During the song, she sings,
“I’ve been so cold/Spaced Out/Think of you/More than you know/Probably think of me/In your backseat/Still missing me/So don’t/Act like you don’t care/When feelings are still there/I can’t keep waiting on you/Waiting on you/Waiting on you”
