FMB DZ Drops Music Video to “Dear Fans”

Detroit rapper FMB DZ releases a music video to his song “Dear Fans”, a dedication song to his supporters. In his song, he updates his fans on how he has been and lets them know he’s a self-made man.

On “Dear Fans,” DZ talks about how he had to separate himself from everybody and how he’s not with the weird energy people have. “Dear Fans” is a song from DZ’s album P-Rock Baby. The album consists of 13 tracks, including features from Detroit rappers like BabyTron, Icewear Vezzo, Sada Baby, and Skilla Baby. 

He grew up on the Westside of Detroit on Plymouth, which he calls P-Rock. In an interview with Cam Capone News in March 2022, DZ said P-Rock is the smallest neighborhood on the westside. “We really just be to ourselves,” DZ said. “Plymouth man, just the underdogs and I’m putting us on right now; I’m the face of Plymouth.”

DZ usually kept to himself growing up, being raised by his grandad. He was learning grown man mannerisms at a young age because of his grandfather. DZ hung out with his friends in his age group, but he was always with his grandfather and the older guys, being a sponge and learning how to be a man. Hanging with the older guys shaped his demeanor, as he is a laid back individual who continues to stay to himself.

DZ’s talent for music was recognized at an early age when he wrote a song in fifth grade about his school. He performed it at his fifth-grade graduation and got positive feedback that made him feel like a star. Growing up DZ listened to rappers like Slick Rick, 50 Cent, and Detroit rapper Obie Trice.

Rapping was just an occupation that happened naturally. After dropping out of high school in the 11th grade, he immediately looked for jobs. He didn’t want his mom to look at him as lazy, so he worked jobs. “I just knew that I was gon be something, I wasn’t gon be a broke ass man,” DZ said.” DZ is a wise man who doesn’t want any trouble. He only wants to get money and stay out of the way.
