Festival D’été de Québec 2024

For eleven days each summer, Festival D’été de Québec (FEQ) transforms the beautiful Québec City into a celebratory hub of live music and culture. Continuing a tradition that started in 1968, FEQ announces the stacked lineup for FEQ 2024. The upcoming festival, returning for its 56th edition, recruits a spellbinding array of massive stars and exciting rising acts from multiple genres and all over the world, plus a collection of Canada’s most talented musicians. With a high-wattage group of headliners that includes Post MaloneJonas BrothersJ Balvin50 CentNickelback, and many more, FEQ returns from July 4-14th, 2024 in Quebec City, QC, Canada.

With over 200 artists performing over the course of 11 days, Québec’s summer festival has more than enough music for any fan to enjoy. The eventful fest stands out among this summer’s music festivals by featuring the only summer festival performances by superstars like Post MaloneJonas Brothers, and J Balvin. Rock music lovers have their pick of bands from all eras and subgenres, including radio heavyweights Nickelback, seasoned punk rockers The Offspring and Rise Against, hair metal mavens Mötley Crue, and metalcore legends Killswitch Engage. Hip-hop heads can enjoy legends like 50 CentNas, and Killer Mike, plus rising names like TOBi. Pop fans will be thrilled to see artists like beloved Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen and “Sweet But Psycho” hitmaker Ava Max. Those looking for alternative and indie music can enjoy acclaimed acts like Fleet FoxesFuture IslandsHurray For the Riff RaffMt. Joy, and Ben Howard. FEQ is known for its genre-focused nights, a country music hoedown headlined by Zac Brown Band, with Charley Crockett, and Morgan Wade, and of course, the always-incendiary EDM night, this year featuring an enviable Alan Walker and Loud Luxury double-bill. As always, the Festival shines a spotlight on the province of Québec’s most talented musicians, including composer/pianist Alexandra Stréliski, Polaris Prize-winning Montreal rock band Karkwa, and the soulful Quebecois group Clay and Friends, and brings diverse acts from across the globe, including red hot regional Mexican singer Ivan Cornejo, Malian performer Vieux Farka Touré, and Nigerien guitarist Bombino

The summer festival makes use of The Plains of Abraham, one of the most notable historical sites in Canada, where, in 1759, the British and French fought a decisive battle in the Seven Years’ War. Now, hundreds of years later, the Plains of Abraham is the location of the FEQ’s main stage, with a capacity of over 80,000. This year’s festival debuts a thrilling new stage setup, allowing fans to experience their favorite music like never before. The upcoming FEQ 2024 festival follows a massively successful 2023 edition, which inspired Pollstar to assert FEQ’s place in “the conversation as a top five festival in North America,” and featured headlining performances from Foo Fighters, Green Day, Lana Del Ray, Weezer, Zach Bryan, and many more.

With its multi-day, multi-venue structure and the full-fledged involvement of the surrounding city, FEQ is the closest North American analog to European city festivals like the UK’s Wireless Festival, Spain’s Primavera Sound, or Denmark’s Roskilde. Located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, Quebec City is the closest thing to a European city within driving distance, and fans who don’t feel like road tripping can take one of 21 direct flights to the YQB airport.
