FENG Goes To Summer At Camp Lakepine

Today, genre-mashing U.K. phenom Feng shares his brand new Summer At Camp Lakepine EP. Out now, the seven-song set plays like a moment away from the spotlight, finding the rising star locked in with a single friend/producer, Lakepine, while sharing unguarded bars that feel like pages from a LA diary. Over brightly fuzzy beats fit for summer nights, Feng explores the ups and downs of love, lust, friendship, and fame, while his trademark romanticism shines through it all.  I’ve loved Feng’s music over the past year and this EP is honestly no different in my opinion. The track ‘2023 Summer’ reflects on 3 years ago when he met a girl and their experience together. His flow over the smooth dreamy beat makes this a must listen.

‘Coachella’ is a beat that’s more upbeat than the rest of the songs on the EP. Giving you a somewhat of a westcoast vibe that you would normally hear in the summer, it shows how diverse his music is. Feng’s ‘Vomit’ talks about his experience with heartbreak as he finds out the girl he cares about cheats on him(which a lot of us can relate to).

Feng announced the EP one week ago by sharing the kaleidoscopic kiss-off Fake Friends.” That same night, he brought his renowned party-throwing skills to Venice Beach, where he performed the new songs to fans gathered on the sand. It was an especially fitting setting.

Summer At Camp Lakepine arrives as Feng continues to bring his breakout debut album Weekend Rockstar to festivals and clubs on both sides of the Atlantic. After selling out the North American leg of his Weekend Rockstar TourFeng launches the EU/U.K. portion on September 8. In between, he’s continued his run of riotous festival appearances, springboarding off of an acclaimed Rolling Loud performance to conquer stages at Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash, Germany’s Splash!, Switzerland’s Openair Frauenfeld, and Poland’s Clout, where he commanded a huge crowd that stuck it out through a storm to party with him (watch HERE).

Among other recent milestones, Feng also covers HIGHSNOBIETY as part of their coveted annual music week series. The cover story touches on the creation of Summer At Camp Lakepine and, more broadly, notes that “Feng isn’t chasing a scene, he’s building his own colorful punk universe.” And after making a splash during Milan Fashion Week as part of an underground invasion that swept through the flashy Gucci runway show, the 20-year-old rising star is the new face of Vans’ “Off The Wall” campaign — Feng spoke to HYPEBEAST about it.

Released in February, Weekend Rockstar is equally informed by the red hot U.K. underground scene that Feng came up in and by alternative visions of pop that have reshaped radio around the world. With genre-melting aplomb, the colorful 13-song set channels the joyous messiness of youth, held down by the artist/producer’s mellow delivery and guiding “positive punk” energy as he navigates love, ambition, and success. Weekend Rockstar was written, recorded, and mixed by Feng himself, with co-production by him and Bilal Hamdi. The album was preceded by singles like the breakout XOXO alongside J*b and Cali Crazy,” which capture Feng’s recent transition from nine-to-five monotony to neon-streaked weekends. He also dropped the dreamlike video for Firework,” a bright song that embodies the heart of the album with lyrics like, “Don’t know what’s coming for you, but I know it’s something bright / You’re like a firework, that’s about to light.”

His own career has taken off rapidly. Feng entered the year leading The FADER’s “Artists to Watch in 2026” lineup and is also a member of their current hotly tipped GEN F class. Additionally, he landed on similar lists by ComplexPigeons & Planes, and Ones to Watch, who wrote, “Feng’s music bleeds personality and charisma, somehow painting a picture of a young visionary who is both painstakingly polished and effortlessly brilliant.”

Feng’s also become known for his increasingly legendary throwback house parties, which have been the subject of vivid scene reports by Interview MagazineDAZED, and Pitchfork. Lean into the remaining days of the most celebratory season with Summer At Camp Lakepine, and party with Feng at one of the dates below.
