Ella Langley makes history – Sweeps 2026 ACMs
Sunday night’s 61st annual American Country Music Awards saw Ella Langley shine on a night where the stars were out. On an evening highlighting the biggest stars in country music, including the likes of Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and Cody Johnson, Langley swept every award she was nominated for. The 29-year-old rising country star went seven for seven on the night and took home the prestigious Female Artist of the Year award.
Langley’s Wild 2026 Continues
She also becomes the 5th artist in ACM history to retain the single of the year award with ‘Choosin Texas’. The country heartbreak tune has spent nine consecutive weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Langley creates Billboard history as the first woman to spend the most weeks at No.1 in both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs. In accepting her award for Song of the Year, Langley appeared speechless. “I’m not at a loss for words very often,” said Langley in her speech. “Thank you to the fans. I don’t know why you latched on to this song, but thank you for doing it.”
Langley’s acoustic performance of her hit song ‘Be Her’ stole the show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Yet again, the multi-talented singer-songwriter made history. She becomes the first female artist to simultaneously hold both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her”. Langley fought back tears as she accepted her Female Artist of the Year award and thanked the women who came before her, “I’m trying to get to say something but I can’t,” she said while her voice cracked. “I would not be standing up here without the encouragement of so many women.”
A Night to Celebrate the Women
Langley’s historic night consisted of victories in Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, Music Event of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. But she wasn’t the only woman in country music who’s made a name for herself over the past twelve months. Rising country star Avery Anna took home the New Female Artist of the Year award. And who was the 2025 winner you may ask? The answer would be none other than Ms. Ella Langley. She closed the evening with one final powerful message, “Just… Thank you to the women. I would not be standing up here without that.”
