Coachella 2026 Is Here
Set in the Coachella Valley of Indo, California, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is back for 2026!
Beginning on April 10, the festival’s first weekend hosted the likes of music icons and up and comers.
On the festival’s opening day of events, debut headliner Sabrina Carpenter brought the show of a lifetime with a high-budget concert turning the festivals desert setting into a blockbuster film set with the fitting title “Sabrinawood“. Her headlining set also featured numerous cameos from the likes of comedian-actor Will Ferrell along with Oscar winner Susan Sarandon.
Justin Bieber’s headlining set on Saturday came off as more low-key. He focused on his past hits, which caused some problems on the internet due to his lack of performance. Sunday’s headliner, Karol G, became the first Latina headliner in the 27- year run of the festival.
Other artists who performed for the festival’s first weekend include headliners Justin Bieber & Karol G along with other performances from artists such as Jack White (former member of The White Stripes), David Byrne (former lead singer of Talking Heads), Young Thug, PinkPantheress and many more!
Most of the performances for the festival’s first weekend streamed on YouTube, with each performance airing stage-by-stage streams.
Co-founded by Paul Tollett and Rock Van Santen in 1999, Coachella features musical artists from a plethora of genres. From rock, pop, to hip-hop and EDM, the festival celebrates all artists from around the globe. The festival also features numerous art installations and sculptures throughout the festival grounds for audiences to view at their leisure.
The festival is also known for numerous iconic performances, from Beyoncé‘s 2018 performance (nicknamed Beychella) to Daft Punk‘s 2006 show (known for the duos iconic LED pyramid-shaped stage).
Due to the popularity of Coachella, Goldenvoice (a subsidiary of AEG Presents that organizes Coachella’s events) also hosts additional festivals at the site such as the annual Stagecoach country music festival.
