Last weekend Chelsea Cutler played a sold-out show at Boston’s newest venue, RoadRunner. Cutler who is currently on her WICME tour, short for her latest album named When I Close My Eyes broke personal records. This was her biggest headline show over, with 3,500 people present. Throughout the night Cutler mentioned many times her love for Boston and how it is like a second home for her. Before Chelsea Cutler’s performance, there were two opening acts.

Show Openers

ROSIE

The first opening act of the night was pop artist ROSIE. ROSIE, known for her captivating songs was highly interactive with the crowd. Representing, healing, and growing, ROSIE made sure to express that message and pour her heart out in her performances. Her set consisted of six songs. She started with “Retail Therapy” and ended with what some might call her most popular “Never the 1.” In between, she performed “Social Stamina,” “Sad Sad Sad,” “ilym,” and her most recent release “Next Life.” After ending with “Never the 1” the entire crowd became engaged counting down and singing along to the lyrics with her. It is without a doubt fair to say that ROSIE is an amazing performer and will soon be headlining shows of her own.

Adam Melchor

Adam Melchor performed after ROSIE. His set last about 45 minutes and the crowd loved it. He played many of his popular songs such as “Real Estate,” “Internet Stalking,” and “Joyride.” Throughout his set, he showed off his skills on the guitar. Melchor had the crowd mesmerized by his soothing voice. His style and vibe were the ultimate matches to him and his music. This set was worth the watch.

Chelsea Cutler

The energy in the venue immediately became electric from the moment Cutler stepped foot on stage. She opened with “Under,” a track from her latest album. She had a great mix of songs from her old to her new throughout the entire set. A personal favorite was her 2018 track “You’re Not Missing Me.” It was no surprise that she sounded just as good live as she down on her tracks. Cutler was also very interactive with the crowd. At one point she was so overwhelmed that she had to stop performing for a brief minute.

Following the concert in a story on Instagram, she said, “there was something special in the air tonight Boston,” “I couldn’t even remember what I was supposed to be doing up there on stage. I’ve rarely been that overwhelmed and in awe while performing.” That being said, she put on one of the best performances of her career for a large crowd. By the end of the set, she had performed 26 songs. She ended with a cover of “favorite song of all time” Mr.Brightside by The Killers and one of her most popular songs “Your Shirt.” All performers put on an amazing show and are extremely talented.
