Caroline Romano Releases New Single “Panic Attack”

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Caroline Romano released a new single titled “Panic Attack.” The 20-year-old singer-songwriter and self-proclaimed “loudest sort of introvert” has accrued millions of streams with her collection of singles and EPs. Throughout all of her music, you hear her sing about the highs and lows of being young in today’s world. Not only that, but she also sings about the frightening anxieties one faces, while being brave, charming, and witty herself, all at once.
Behind “Panic Attack
“Panic Attack” is a beautiful, stripped-back serenade with the sound of a gentle acoustic guitar and Romano’s vocals. Romano’s songwriting is very intimate, especially in this new track. When listening, you can hear the extreme rawness in her voice as she recalls the paralyzing sensation of a panic attack. In the last lines of “Panic Attack” Romano sings,
“With the world falling down/And my face to the crowd/Oh I think I’m gonna be okay.”
When talking about why she wrote that last line Romano says, “because I truly believe that—I believe it for myself and for anyone listening. We’re going to be more than okay.”
Romano “wrote “Panic Attack” in a parked car after one of the worst panic attacks” she ever experienced. “The only thing I knew how to do was write it all down.
“It’s still not something I can fully put into words, but writing this song helped pull me out of my own head,” said Romano. In an interview with Variance Romano said “ [‘Panic Attack’] brilliantly captures a truly vulnerable moment of such intense anxiety and emotion.” Although Romano wrote this song in a time of anxiety and panic there is a calmness to her voice as she sings this new track.

Along with the release of “Panic Attack,” Caroline Romano also announced the release of her debut album. The singer-songwriter will release her debut album titled Oddities and Prodigies on February 25th. This will be the alt-pop artists’ first full-length LP. “Panic Attack” along with singles such as, “The Hypothetical,” “Lonely Interlude,” and others will be featured on the upcoming album.
