Calvin Harris Drops Single Before Album Release

Calvin Harris dropped another single to continue increasing the anticipation for his new album. His new album is the sequel for his previous album which was 5 years ago . The Scottish DJ’s last album came out in 2017, titled “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1”. It was seen as one of the better albums of 2017, thus creating a hype around a potential sequel. Fans of his see “Funk Wav Bounce Vol. 1” as an album full of songs fitting for a summer vibe.
This looks to be the last of the multitude of singles Harris has dropped in the past 2 months. He released 3 other singles before his latest “New To This”, which featured artists such as Dua Lipa and 21 Savage as well as many others. In “New To This”, Harris brought Normani, Tinashe & Offset along for a romantic song. It has Normani singing the chorus, with Tinashe and Offset singing and rapping their verses respectively.
Calvin Harris also put on his instagram the tracklist for “Funk Wav Bounce Vol. 2”. It features many of the music industries current superstars, like the aforementioned Dua Lipa and 21 Savage. Harris also recruited other big profile names such as Justin Timberlake, Pusha T, and Snoop Dogg. However, he’s also brought lesser known artists to feature on the project. It will be interesting to see how Harris implements each of these artists on his beats.
With the album set to come out this Friday, fans will get to enjoy a full length project from the Scotsman after years of waiting. Will it be able to match the same energy and love that “Funk Wav Bounce Vol 1” received? With high profile names performing on the beats of a high profile DJ, it’s almost sure that plenty of ears will be listening to this project.
