Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros Confirm New Tour Dates

Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros have confirmed September tour dates, joining Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival for seven shows. The band, led by Weir alongside Jeff Chimenti, Jay Lane, and Don Was, is scheduled to perform select shows in September in cities including Baltimore, Charlottesville, Columbus, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. They will once again feature The Wolfpack, a brass and string quartet that adds a layer of orchestra and symphony sounds made up of Alex Kelly, Brian Switzer, Adam Theis, Mads Tolling, Sheldon Brown, and Barry Sless on pedal steel.

Together, they will be joining the 2023 Outlaw tour, a continuing celebration of the legendary Willie Nelson in the year of his 90th birthday. Established in 2016, the festival sees Nelson accompanied by his family and friends for a day of incredible music. This year, Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros will be performing at the festival’s shows set for Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY, Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY, and five others. In addition, the band will make their debut at the renowned Farm Aid on September 23rd in Noblesville, IN, an annual all-day festival with a mission of keeping family farmers on the land.

Bobby Weir is one of the most notable and distinctive rhythm guitarists. As a founding member of the Grateful Dead, who received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007, and a critically-acclaimed solo artist, he is familiar with the touring scene. In fact, he has one of the highest-grossing concert attractions in the U.S. and a world record with a final tally of 2,318 total concerts with the band. He has continued his iconic touring career, performing to millions of fans across 235 shows with Dead & Company since 2015 and more with Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros since 2018. He is joined by Don Was, a Grammy-winning producer with an extensive list of credits, founder of Was (Not Was), a hit 1980s funk-rock band, and a top bass player; Jay Lane, a longtime collaborator and drummer for Weir; and Jeff Chimenti, a keyboardist with extensive experience working with the Grateful Dead and its counterparts.

Together, Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros have released two live albums on Third Man Records, Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros: Live in Colorado and Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros: Live in Colorado Vol. 2, recorded at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater (The Amp). Both volumes received praise for their simultaneous reminiscence and reinvention.

For their September tour dates, artist presale begins at 10:00 a.m. local time with the local presales to follow at 12:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, July 20th. All tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21st. VIP packages will also be available for the headline dates. A full list of tour dates can be seen below:
