BlueBucksClan Releases New Album ‘Clan Way 3’

BlueBucksClan

BlueBucksClan, the Los Angeles rap duo recently dropped their new album Clan Way 3. The new album, released via Out The Blue Records/Capitol Records with 18-tracks. Across the 18 tracks are a handful of top-notch producers including Jetsonmade, and Zaytoven, among others. The album also has key features with Jeremih and Cash Kidd. MCs DJ and Jeezy Obama also flex with their signature punchline lyricism.

About the Duo

In just three short years, BlueBucksClan have established themselves at the forefront of L.A. rap’s new wave. It does so with uproarious deadpan jokes along with bone-chilling threats. These elements, delivered in flows that first seem like off-the-cuff conversations before revealing their sly rhythmic complexity are essential. With Clan Way 3, the pair doubles down on this approach, their narratives more entwined, and their punchlines sharper. The duo received praise from both Pitchfork and Complex. Pitchfork calls them “L.A.’s best duo” and Complex says “It’s clear that the BlueBucksClan is only getting started.”

BlueBucksClan Clan Way 3

Clan Way 3, though dominated, behind the boards, by names that will be eminently familiar to L.A. rap connoisseurs, also reaches across the map for iconic producers. The prime example of the new tact is the Jeremih collaboration, “Let Me Know.” This is a song for the clubs that somehow still feels haunted, yet confident. The second track, “Can’t believe It” is where Zaytoven handles an eerie, piano-driven cut. It sets the tone and stakes of its second song, “Biggest Stepper.”

Clan Way 3 was preceded by the singles “Jeezy WYA,” “I Guess,” and “FYM.” These three tracks give even the most cursory of listeners a richer understanding of the chemistry that has made Jeeezy Obama and DJ artists to watch. Given the reception that past projects like Clan Virus 2 and Clan Way 2 received and seeing as Clan Way 3 is a deepening of their style in every sense, one can only imagine the heights that BlueBuckClan could now ascend. To date, the duo has amassed over 205 million streams in the U.S. alone. Furthermore, the Clan Way 3 album is full of rich talent and well worth the listen. Listen to the full 18-track album below!
