Bandmanrill & Maiya The Don Are “Mr. D.C.T. Pt. 2”
A fast-rapping phenom making waves on the East Coast, Bandmanrill is pioneering a new hybrid of hip-hop and Jersey club. The Newark native shares the video for “Mr. D.C.T. Pt. 2,” a collaboration with Brooklyn riser Maiya The Don. Giving Crystal Waters’ “Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless)” a Jersey club update, the original version of the song earned praise from Pitchfork and XXL. The new version of the song finds the Bandman going toe-to-toe with The Don, each effortlessly delivering rapidfire flexes atop the uptempo house rap anthem. In the video, Bandmanrill and Maiya The Don get jiggy in soundstages and backstreets, joined by masked dancers who show the world how to shake the hips. “Mr. D.C.T.
