AMAKA DEBUTS KAYTRANADA PRODUCED EP

AMAKA
releases her first solo EP, Oasis via Venice Music is out now across all streaming platforms – giving fans the first body of work as she embarks on her newfound solo music journey. The new EP is in collaboration with 2x Grammy-winner, Kaytranada who solely produced the 6-track project boasting the perfect dose of upbeat high tempo tracks while stamping AMAKA’s name as force to be reckoned with in the afro-futurism music space.

Her latest single release, “OASIS” is AMAKA’s final drop leading up to the EP debut. The world already received a sample platter of what’s to come with AMAKA’s additional singles, “Cruisin” and “Leave It Behind” – both of which have received early praises from the likes of Rolling StoneLA WeeklyBrooklyn VeganVIBE, and more – kickstarting an upward trajectory of musical success since parting ways from former R&B group, VanJess. “[Cruisin] was the takeoff, [Leave It Behind] is what led to the take off, and [Oasis] is the final destination.” says AMAKA. “It’s about feeling yourself and owning your confidence in peak form, I hope people can listen and really feel that way even if they might not always.“

“Oasis” comes just in time to be the tropical dance soundtrack behind all of summer’s many thrills. AMAKA describes the 6-track EP as “an oasis by definition is a place you find and this oasis is one we can all find together; a vibe, an energy and a place people can escape to and let the music takes them into feeling their most confident, free and thriving self. I wrote these songs on the journey to finding that place within myself and I hope listening to Oasis brings people to it too.”

AMAKA tapping Kaytranada as sole producer for ‘‘OASIS” gives the co-sign on AMAKA’s unique talent and musical taste from the boisterous tastemaker and serves up a vibrant genre-blending project that distincts AMAKA from all her peers.

The new wave of AMAKA’s afro-futurism tunes comes off the heels of additional recent successes – where she was featured on “Just to Be” from renowned African DJ/Producer/Writer, Spinall’s Top Boy album which garnered 100M streams and hit #1 on Spotify’s Top 200: Nigeria, Apple Music’s Top 100: Nigeria, #5 on UK’s Afrobeats Chart and earned a Grammy win during her tenure with VanJess for their feature on Kaytranada’s Grammy winning album. Prepare for the AMAKA domination as she trailblazer with a fresh new sound and spreads her wings as a solo artist and paves her own unique road toward genre-blending stardom.
